Аннотация

The Caspian Sea region’s energy resources are encountering substantial opportunities and challenges that considerably change the perspective of fossil fuel extraction, processing, and transportation in the region.

This study investigates the complex issues related to energy policy that the Caspian Sea region has confronted.

By employing the narrative literature review, the author discovered that three factors of climate change, socio-economic implications, and emerging technologies extensively and variously impact energy extraction developments in the Caspian Sea region.

The author concludes that the energy policy in the Caspian Sea region is generally negatively influenced by climatic, social, and economic variables and benefits from emerging technologies as an opportunity.
